Win a VIP entry to the London to Brighton

For us, the London to Brighton Kit and Sports Car Run has become an unmissable part of the Complete Kit Car year. Having been on every run since 2011, we see many familiar faces who obviously feel the same way! If you’ve never joined the run before, why not book yourself into this year’s event? Places fill quickly, so it’s worth booking early – and if you subsequently win this competition, organiser GE Classic Motor Events will refund the cost of your entry. The event is now in its 20th year and goes from strength to strength.

The run

The 2020 Kit and Sports Car Run will start from Greenwich Park, the location of the meridian line. It’s the last time the run will start from this picturesque London park, and participants will have time to explore this fantastic location before being waved off with the union flag.

This year’s mid-way stopping point is Saint Hill Manor, located on the outskirts of East Grinstead, West Sussex, which is reputed to be the finest 18th century sandstone building in the county. Each of its owners have left behind their own part of history, and you’ll get a chance to explore the venue. Entry is included for driver and navigator.

The finish line is on Madeira Drive on Brighton seafront, just next to the famous pier and the same place the veteran run convenes. In Brighton you will be welcomed by the commentator and have time to enjoy the rest of your day, with VIP reserved parking for all entrants. The day ends with a short awards ceremony to include best period dressed participants, longest distance travelled and a few other special awards on the day.

The entry fee is £110 for the driver and navigator and includes:

  • A commemorative numbered rally board
  • Entry to organised stopping points en route
  • Tulip style route book and list of entrants
  • Personalised certificate of participation for the driver
  • Commemorative solid brass rally plaque
  • Plus the experience of taking part in one of the most impressive displays of vintage, classic, sports and kit cars in the country

The London to Brighton Kit and Sports Car Run takes place concurrently with the Classic Car Run and new-for-2020 Modern Classics Run which have the same start and finish points, but with a different routes in between, so there’s plenty to see throughout the day.
