Win an entry on the London to Brighton

Of all the events to have been cancelled last year, the London to Brighton Kit and Sports Car Run is one we really missed. Over the years, it has become established as an unmissable part of the Complete Kit Car year. Having been on every run for a full decade, we see many familiar faces who obviously feel the same way! If you’ve never joined the run before, why not book yourself into this year’s event? Places fill quickly, so it’s worth booking early – and if you subsequently win this competition, organiser GE Classic Motor Events will refund the cost of your entry.

The run

The 2021 Kit and Sports Car Run takes place on Sunday 6 June. It will start from the wonderful Brooklands Museum, a venue steeped in motorsport history. The finish line is, as ever, on Madeira Drive on Brighton seafront, just next to the famous pier and the same place the veteran run convenes. In Brighton you will be welcomed by the commentator and have time to enjoy the rest of your day, with VIP reserved parking for all entrants. The day ends with a short awards ceremony to include best period dressed participants, longest distance travelled and a few other special awards on the day.

The entry fee is £115 for the driver and navigator and includes:

A commemorative numbered rally board
Entry to organised stopping points en route
Tulip style route book and list of entrants
Personalised certificate of participation for the driver
Commemorative solid brass rally plaque
Plus the experience of taking part in one of the most impressive displays of vintage, classic, sports and kit cars in the country

The London to Brighton Kit and Sports Car Run takes place concurrently with the Classic Car Run and new-for-2021 Modern Classics Run which have the same start and finish points, but with different routes in between, so there’s plenty to see throughout the day.

The prize

The winner will receive free entry to the run, worth £115. Don’t let entering the competition stop you from paying for a place – if you’ve already booked and go on to win, you’ll be refunded the entry fee by the organisers. If lockdown restrictions prevent the event from going ahead on Sunday 6 June, the prize will roll on to the new date.

The closing date for entries is Friday 9 April
